AUSTIN BLAIR CAMPBELL
I was raised just north of Fort Worth in a town that at the time didn't even show up on the
map when the weatherman was giving a weekly forecast. All we knew in Saginaw, Texas back then
was trains, grain elevators, Pulido's Mexican Restaurant and Friday Night Football at Boswell High. That place has grown since those days and I guess I have too. As the years went on my family's footprint spread as far south as San Antonio and Galveston/Houston for about 2 years, but somehow we always ended up back in the Fort Worth metroplex one way or another. Needless to say Texas is my stomping grounds and I cut the teeth of my music love in these streets. But a heart that chases the dream of music often is one that needs a place to vent about the pain its felt and/or caused, or perhaps the hope it has in the days to come. For me, music making and songwriting is therapy. As I pour myself out I'm also attempting to pick myself up from whatever the latest storm of life was that came blowing through. But don't get me wrong, its not all dying puppies and crying children. Occasionally a subject comes up that puts a smile on my face and I hope the same happens for you as you follow me on this journey.
